Memorial Garden

Stones are available for order to memorialize your pet.

Lobby

We ask that you keep your dogs on leashes & cats in carriers while in the lobby.

Exam room 2

We have 4 stocked exam rooms.

Cat ward

We keep our cats in a quiet enviroment upstairs away drom all the hustle & bustle to keep them comfortable & stress free.

Dog Ward

We have 3 big rooms with runs for our larger dogs. We provide food, blankets, & exercise 3 times a day. We also try to seperate our "social" dogs from our "shy" dogs to cut down on stress levels.

Kennel 1

We try to seperate out our "social" dogs from our "shy" dogs in the seperate rooms to keep everyone happy & stress free.

Outdoor playyards

Our yards our graveled to keep your pets clean during thier stay. They are cleaned out between each pet.

Grooming room

We refer most grooming out, but we do perform basic grooming for those pets who need sedation. We also perform baths & nailtrims.

Tub room

We are stocked with many shampoos & conditioners to fit your pet's needs.

Food room

We keep a variety of prescription diets on hand including, Purina, Science Diet, & Waltham. Due to space limitations we may need to special order some foods. To ensure we have your pets food available, you should call us to place an order when you reach the halfway point on your bag. Our food orders are placed on Mondays & usually recieved on Wednesday's.

Lab

Our in house lab enables us to save time when diagnosing your pet's problem. There are some test we send to an outside lab.

Pharmacy

We keep most presciption drugs on hand. Those that are not stocked are available through our on-line store. You can reach the store on the front page through the big purple box.

Isolation Ward

Our Isolation Ward is reserved for our sickest patients. It is cheerfully painted, fully stocked, with lots of sunlight & has it's own entrance/exit.

Treatment

This is the heart of our clinic.

Treatment tables

During the expansion, our Treatment Room was considerably enlarged. We now have 3 treatment tables, this is where the majority of our work is done.

Second small lab area in treatment

Our main lab is located at the front of the hospital convienant to the exam rooms. We have setup a smaller lab area in the back of the hospital to service the treatment, Isolation, & Surgery areas.

Dental equipment

Our dental cleanings are the same procedure performed as when we get our teeth cleaned, except general anesthesia is used. Our dentals include above & below gum line scalings, examination of the teeth/gum health, polishing, breath spray, & followed up with a flouride treatment. Sometimes more advanced treatments are needed such as extractions, Doxirobe gel, antibiotics etc. We also send home a complimentary dental pack with toothbrush/paste, dental treats, helpful brochures to maintain the cleaning, & any further recommendations. We are proud to also have a tech who is specialized and has obtained additional credentials in dental cleanings.

Ultrasound

We added ultrasound to our practice in 2004. Staff is constantly attending classes to update thier knowledge, hone & improve thier skills. We are proud to have 2 quite experienced ultrasonagraphers in our staff. We are working to train additonal staff to remedy scheduling limitations.

Surgical prep area

We have a seperate prep area around the corner from our surgery suite. This maintains sterility. We also use this area to perform our vetscopes, a procedure to deep clean the ears.

Surgery

Our surgery suite was also enlarged in the expansion. It is capable of housing 2 surgery tables.

Monitering machine

In 2005 we added a high tech machine to moniter -bloodpressue, pulse ox, heart rate, resperation rate, EKG, & CO2 Levels during anesthesia.

Laser

While there are many uses for the laser, AHCC mainly utilizes this piece of equipment in our declaw surgeries. It is said to reduce bleeding & pain associated with the surgery & cut over all healing time.

while there we visited the Dallas Zoo. Found out that our Victoria has a namesake there also named Victoria. As the same as our Victoria, thier Victoria took care of the clan
